The “The Midnight Palace” is the second book of the Neblina trilogy. I am reading that trilogy in the correct order, first I read “ The Prince Of Mist”, then this one, and I still have to read “The Watcher in the Shadows”.
Books by Carlos Ruiz Zafón are what I consider being in a happy place. For the motive we know, I try to rationalize the books to last as long as possible.
This book, like the previous of this trilogy, did not awakened in me the same interest like his other books. Maybe, because these books are young adult fiction, or because, for me, no book cannot surpass “The Shadow of the Wind”.
In this book, the author presents a group of friends and everything they need to confront. They need to confront the evil that befell upon them and the city that saw them grow up.
I was not overwhelmed by this story, some parts are very predictable, and take away some impact from the story. And I did not particularly like the ending.
The author’s writing is very good, and for those of you who want to offer books to young people, I think this trilogy is a perfect option.
O Palácio da Meia Noite é o segundo volume da trilogia da Neblina. Estou a ler esta trilogia pela ordem correta, primeiro li o “O Príncipe da Neblina”, este e falta-me “As Luzes de Setembro”.
Livros do Carlos Ruiz Zafón são o que considero voltar a um lugar feliz. Pelo motivo que todos sabemos tento racionalizar as leituras dele para que durem o máximo de tempo possível.
Este livro, tal como o anterior desta trilogia, não me despertou o mesmo interesse das outras obras. Talvez por serem romances “juvenis” ou então porque, para mim, dificilmente algo vai conseguir superar “A Sombra do Vento”.
Neste livro, o autor dá-nos a conhecer um grupo de amigos e tudo o que têm de enfrentar. Eles têm de combater o mal que se abateu sobre eles e sobre a cidade que os viu crescer.
Não fui arrebatada pela história em si, algumas partes eram um pouco previsíveis e faziam perder algum do impacto da narrativa. Para além disso, o fim não me agradou particularmente.
A escrita do autor é muito boa e para quem quer oferecer livros a jovens acho que é uma ótima opção.
